Seven students from around the state participated in “Get Your Body and Brain in Shape for School” camp, August 17- 20, 2015. Campers studied yoga and how the brain learns as a method of integrating body movement with brain connections. The Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Camp for students with visual impairments, held on the campus of the Iowa School for the Deaf, was a huge success! 15 students attended the camp. They visited museums, got hands on experiences with planes, rode the train, and visited a local community college. The camp ended with pinewood derby car races! . . . read more
