Information and Registration Forms for Extended Learning Opportunities
Extended Learning Opportunities are coordinated activities that support learning communities for students, professionals and families. They are available regionally emphasizing areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum: compensatory skills, social interaction skills, independent living, recreation/leisure, sensory efficiency, orientation and mobility, assistive technology, self-determination and career education and transition.
Summer programs, Splish Splash and My 5 Senses, Jumpstart for Expanded Core Curriculum, Jumpstart to Independence and extra-curricular activities are just a few of the programs offered throughout the year.
NCASB (North Central Association of Schools for the Blind) sponsors Goal Ball, Wrestling, Cheerleading, Track & Field, Swimming and Forensics tournaments throughout the year for students in grades 7-12. If you are interested in representing Team IOWA please contact:
