Winter Olympics

A lack of snow didn't stop these Olympians from enjoying the great outdoors.  Students not only trekked through nature, but got off the beaten path and wandered through a prairie with no trail.  They tried their hand at bird identification, matching sounds which is how penguins keep track of their young, and made feeders for the wild birds that inhabit the Benton County Conservation area.  Friday night, the students ate pizza and explored the secret passageways that are hidden in the Iowa Braille School.  The students had a fun weekend, the weather was perfect, and a good time was had by all.
