  • Transparent CCTV Rulers which is available at http://www.aph.org
    • These see-through vinyl rulers make it easier to measure items magnified by a CCTV (closed-circuit television). They measure 7" x 1 1/8" are marked with one of six different increments: English 1/8", 1/4", 1/2", and 1"; and metric 1 mm and 1 cm. Rulers are screen printed with black ink on high-contrast transparent vinyl.
    • Includes: Set of six transparent rulers (clear or yellow, depending on which kit you order):
      • 1 each, English: 1/8", 1/4", 1/2", and 1"
      • 1 each, Metric: 1 mm and 1 cm
      • Vinyl zipper pouch, made of non-glare, heavy-gauge vinyl featuring a zip-lock closure, 5-hole punched to fit standard 2- and 3-ring binders, measures 7 1/2" x 10 5/8"

  • 1 foot Braille Metric-English ruler which is available at http://www.aph.org  item number1-03100-00
    • Plastic rulers taper on the edge. A metal caliper slide to aid in accuracy is included. Metric edge has raised lines every half centimeter and Braille numbers every two centimeters. Opposite English edge has raised lines every 1/4 inch and Braille numbers at each inch.

  • Braille/Print Yardstick which is available at http://www.aph.org  item number 1-03002-00
    • Made of durable white plastic, drilled for hanging. Has raised-line markings along one edge in 1/4" increments, with Braille marking every inch. Black large print markings are along the opposite edge in 1/4" increments.

  • Standard Measuring Tape which is available at http://www.independentliving.com  item number DH-20
    • A tape designed to indicate measurements by feel. The 60 inch tape is marked by eyelets at every inch and half inch. Two eyelets mark every foot. Large numbers against the white background make it useful for the sighted.

  • Braille Meterstick which is available at http://www.aph.org  item number 1-03000-00
    • Plastic, drilled for hanging, with raised lines every centimeter, and Braille every other centimeter; thick raised lines for decimeters.

  • Metric Tactile Tape Measure 
    • Tactile Fiberglass Tape Measures: a 150 cm tape marked with single eyelets at every centimeter.  Two eyelets also mark every 10 centimeters on the metric tape.

    • An efficient tactile measuring device that measures up to 12 inches with accuracy of 1/16 of an inch. Three 12" extensions allow measurement up to 4 feet. This device consists of four major parts: ½" aluminum tube, sliding threaded rod, locking screw, ¼" thick metal stop.

  • Talking Tape Measure which is available at http://www.independentliving.com  item number 756565
    • A 16 foot standard metal tape measure that announces the measured length with an accuracy of .06 of an inch. Just turn it on and pull it out to the length of the object or distance being measured, and the distance will be announced in a pleasant male British voice. It has a memory mode, and can be used to measure consecutive distances that exceed its 16 foot length. It will automatically turn itself off when it is not used for about 15 seconds, and will announce a 5 second advance notice of the turn-off. Requires one 9 volt battery (not included).
